SOLA is a group devoted to fundraising for the Alexandria Symphony Orchestra. Its major fundraiser is the annual Symphony Ball each spring, generating over $40,000 for the ASO. In addition, SOLA hosts a fall wine tasting called Uncorked and provides volunteers for office assistance and ushers at concerts. SOLA also sponsors the annual Mary Graham Lasley Scholarship Competition for college and graduate school music students.

SOLA members have lots of fun at attending General Membership meetings, a special Holiday Party, and helping out in the ASO office or serving as an ASO usher at the concerts.
